What is the licensing process like – step by step
1. Introductory flight – your first experience with flying
The first step is familiarization flight – about 20 minutes in the air with an instructor. It’s a great opportunity to get a feel for the plane, experience the training environment, and assess your motivation—all while creating memories that will last a lifetime.
2. Theoretical training and medical examinations
Before you actually take the controls, you'll complete a theory course (approx. 100 hours) carried out in the form of flexible 24/7 e-learning. Theory is the foundation of flight safety and piloting skills—it covers topics such as aerodynamics, navigation, meteorology, aviation regulations, and radio communication. At the same time, you will Class 2 aviation medical examination, as required by law to continue the training.
3. Hands-on training – from the basics to working independently
This is the most important part of the course – at least 45 flight hours with an instructor and solo. You start with the basics of flying: takeoffs, landings, and circling over the airfield, followed by more advanced maneuvers. This is the stage where you learn aircraft control and response in real-life situations.
4. VFR flights – independent route planning
Once you've mastered the basics, it's time for the real adventure – navigation flights on routes to other airports that you plan and operate yourself. This is the moment when Your skills are coming to life: You analyze the weather, plan your route, and use maps and GPS.
5. Exams and License Issuance
After completing the training and theoretical preparation, you will proceed to state exams: practical and theoretical. The Academy supports you at every stage of your preparation so that you are ready for success. Upon successful completion, you receive PPL(A) license and you can start flying on your own.
