A candidate may take the exams after completing theoretical training at an approved ATO or DTO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scope of the theory exams<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The PPL(A) written exam covers&nbsp;<strong>9 items<\/strong>, in accordance with EASA regulations (Part-FCL):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Aviation Law<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Human Performance: Capabilities and Limitations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meteorology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Communications (VFR)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Flight Rules<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Operating Procedures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Performance and flight planning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Navigation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>General knowledge of aircraft<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The exams are administered in the form of&nbsp;<strong>single-choice tests<\/strong>&nbsp;in the computer system. Each course is graded separately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Passing criteria<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Minimum passing score:\u00a0<strong>75% correct answers<\/strong>\u00a0for each subject<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exams must be passed within a specified time frame (the session and deadline limits are set forth in ULC\/EASA regulations)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once all courses have been passed, the grades serve as the basis for admission to the practical exam<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Practical Exam (Skill Test) for the PPL(A) license<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The practical exam, known as&nbsp;<strong>Skill Test<\/strong>... is the final stage of the process of obtaining a PPL(A) license. It takes place after completing the flight training and passing the written exams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The practical exam procedure<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The exam is administered by&nbsp;<strong>FE(A) flight examiner<\/strong>&nbsp;authorized by the Civil Aviation Authority (ULC). It consists of two main parts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Ground segment (briefing)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>review of documents (student license, aviation medical examination, flight hours)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>flight planning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>questions on procedures, performance, meteorology, and aviation law<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aeronautical Decision Making (ADM)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2.
